SFS: NBU should unfetter lotteries

State Fiscal Service believes that the National Bank of Ukraine should lift sanctions imposed on lottery operators. The Department has already sent the corresponding letter to the NBU representatives.

State Fiscal Service (SFS) sent a letter to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) strongly recommending not to impose directly connected with the decision of National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) financial restraints on lottery operators. The Department explains such a demand by the fact that because of the NBU’s decision the necessary payments do not replenish the state treasury.

To prevent the loss of the state budget and ensure taxpayers’ compliance with their obligations, the State Fiscal Service sent a letter to the National Bank of Ukraine with a proposal to raise the question of the payment of charges by the specified categories of payers, which have blocked account,

Besides, the representatives of the SFS stated that most financial institutions, referring to the imposed by the National Security Council sanctions and related NBU’s decisions, do not accept payments from sanctioned enterprises.
